P&O Britannia - Spain & Italy Cruise
Experience the joys of an early summer in the Med on board Britannia.
After two days at sea to indulge in the opulence of Britannia, you’ll find Seville (tours from Cadiz) awash with cultural and artistic heritage. Barcelona is living proof you can have it all: a stunning beach-front, endless culture and Gaudi plus a vibrant drinking and dining scene. Stroll the cobbled lanes of the gothic quarter, tuck into tapas or take the gravity defying cable car across the harbour to see the Olympic Stadium on Montjuic.
It's a race to the playground of the rich, famous (and royal) in Monte Carlo, before you lose your heart to Rome (tours from Civitavecchia), with its enthralling history as exemplified by the Colosseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Do as the Romans do and tuck into pasta, in a locals’ trattoria, washed down with a full-bodied Lazio wine.
Naples is so much more than a jumping off point to Amalfi, Capri or Pompeii. Its centro storico is a World Heritage Site; its museums, palaces, frescoes, sculptures and jaw-dropping views give Rome more than a run for its money. (As does the food – pizza anyone?)
Golden-hued Cagliari is next, then it’s time to don your walking shoes. You’ll need them in Gibraltar, whether it’s to climb the Rock or for a duty-free shopping marathon.

Britannia boasts Britain’s largest floating art collection, containing more than 6,000 artworks.
The multi-million pound art collection represents a new approach by P&O Cruises with works having been chosen to complement and enhance Britannia’s interior designs to give the feel of a luxury hotel. Pieces ranging from paintings and bronze sculptures to ceramics and paper wall reliefs have been created by a wide variety of artists – most of them British – with some from as far afield as Japan, Australia and South Africa.
